Buying With Purpose: Being Intentional About What You Bring Into Your Space.

Buying With Purpose: Being Intentional About What You Bring Into Your Space.

As we grow older, we start being resourceful and intentional about what we bring into our home. Now the question is, what does it mean to buy with purpose and how do we begin the process? When you buy with purpose you need to distinguish your need vs. want and like vs. love. Do you NEED to have it or is it something that you WANT? Do you LIKE it, or do you LOVE it?

When you look at your home, is there something you would like to aim for in changing? I feel like every time I sit down to have a little break when my kids are napping, I find myself coming up with ideas in my head and I either start to rearrange a room or I begin to donate or sell items I no longer have use for. To me personally, I believe the less clutter, the bigger the room and the less anxious. One of my pet peeves is clutter and disorganization. I love to know where everything is without having to go on a scavenger hunt for one single item. I am that person that loves labels and container bins to where I should be a part of the Home Edit team haha. Having my home with less clutter and more organization is important for me because it really makes it less stressful and my home cozier.

Aside from that, one of the things I find myself buying all the time are multipurpose products. I love the idea of having one product do a variety of jobs from household cleaning supplies to beauty products to kitchen appliances that are both high quality and made in USA. A bonus for multipurpose items is less clutter and money saved which is an A++ in my book!

When it comes to cleaning products, I love to have one single multipurpose product that will clean the kitchen, bathroom, and floors all while disinfecting. For kitchen appliances, I love to have an appliance that will do a variety of jobs such as the instant pot. If you don’t have one, it is a must have because it helps makes meals in a single pot in half the time! It really has helped me out especially for being a busy mom.

For beauty products, it can be a bit difficult to find a single product that can be used for different purposes. The one brand that I have found to have made it so easy for me are some of the products from THE WELLB CO. Find the 3 most popular all-in-one products below!

THE BALMIf you are looking for single product that has all the uses of a moisturizer for both the face and body, an after shave, an after sugar, a beard moisturizer, a hand moisturizer, and a primer, THE BALM is what you’ll be looking for. It only contains 4 organic ingredients which makes it even better!

THE POWDER- This will be your go-to product if you are looking for a daily body powder, a post self-tan powder, a prep powder for hair removal, a dry shampoo(my favorite) and a powder for intimate areas. This product contains 3 ingredients with a blend of essential oils!

THE OIL- This item is an all organic product that can be used as a facial cleanser and moisturizer, a makeup remover including waterproof make-up that we all love to purchase, a body moisturizer, a cuticle oil & a hair oil. For you fellow bearded gentleman, this product is also a beard cleanser and a beard oil!

These 3 organic products are both a LOVE and a NEED! I love knowing and being able to pronounce key ingredients in a product that isn’t harmful to my body. I personally have these products, and these are 3 products I will continue to keep stocked in my home. Can you believe a single beauty product can have so many uses? It’s amazing!

Another way of being intentional about what you bring into your home is to buy food that you know you and your family are going to eat. I already learned to never go to the grocery shopping when you’re hungry. Who has been guilty of doing that? I not only bought the whole grocery store, but I ended up buying food that quickly ended up going bad, in which I completely felt bad about. Definitely a lesson learned. One of the things I do in my household is I set up the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu for the whole week which helps me stick to the items that I need.

I have a motto when it comes to my closet. If I purchase an item, I donate an item. Doing this keeps my closet nice, clean, and organized without the clutter. I started doing this after realizing I didn’t really wear a little less than half of what was in my closet. It was just there because I figured I would eventually wear it (which I didn’t) or I just didn’t want to part from it. I will only purchase something if I know I am going to wear it and the same goes for my little ones.

When you start to ponder on about it, buying with purpose isn’t hard at all. It’s all about being intentional about what you bring into your home. It’s okay to splurge every now and then, but as long as stay focused on buying high quality items that you’ll need or has a use for a variety of things, you’ll never drift away from buying with purpose.
